Vagabondo

The collection "Vagabondo" is a journey through the mythology and mysticism of the Greek Gods. Characteristics as irascibility, temper and pugnacity, as well as passion and mercy are applied to individual or several gods. These traits describe not only their character, but also their form of representation. An overall picture of divine gracefulness with different modes of representation of the various attributes is the design concept of this collection. Aphrodite, the nymphs and the Pleiades offer one of the basic characteristics. Their kindness and sensitivity are reflected in the soft, flowing dresses. On the other side gods like Ares, Hephaestus and Athena stand for indomitable and tough characters and reflect angular, armor-like and rigid forms. By the use of soft undulated, and partly pleated fabrics, the structure of the textiles is reminiscent of gentle waving forms like dunes or desert plains. Inversely, by the use of firmly pressed and stiffened fabric manipulation, a reflection of rough rock forms and patterning of sediment layers appears.
